An all-electric Induction Hardware kitchen
Why Induction Hardware

Startup speed. Real ownership.

Joining a growing company early means your work matters more, you learn faster, and the ceiling keeps moving up. Here's what that looks like at IH.

01

Grow with us.

We're scaling fast. As the company grows, so do the roles, and the people who helped build it are first in line for them. Show up, solve problems, and your next step comes sooner than it would anywhere else.

02

Work that ships.

No layers between an idea and a decision. What you build, fix, and improve shows up in real kitchens across the country, often within weeks.

03

See the whole machine.

Engineering, service, operations, and sales work under one roof in Reno. You'll see how a product goes from schematic to install, and learn from the people who designed it.

04

We take care of our people.

Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus an employee discount on the premium appliances we make.

Our culture

How we work.

The way we treat each other is the way we want every customer to be treated.

01

A “we” mindset.

Our co-founder puts it plainly: we run the business to serve others. Nobody here is too senior to pick up the phone, help on the warehouse floor, or fix what's broken.

02

Own it end to end.

Chase the problem all the way to the root cause. We'd rather fix something right once than patch it twice, and we give people the room and the trust to do exactly that.

03

Serious work, good people.

We take the work seriously and have fun doing it. Candid feedback, generous help, and a team that celebrates the wins together.

Our mission & values

Induction is the future of cooking.

We started Induction Hardware to build the all-electric kitchen: safer, cleaner, faster, and more precise than the open flame it replaces. Everyone here is part of making that happen, one product at a time.

01

All-electric, no compromise.

Every product we make is all-electric, and engineered to outperform the gas appliance it replaces, not just match it. Sustainability is the foundation, never the excuse.

02

Engineered precision.

We ship performance first and marketing second. Each appliance is held to a measurable, demonstrable standard, from CFM to °F to decibels.

03

Quiet innovation.

DC ventilation, induction hobs, and embedded software are designed to perform without announcing themselves. We optimize for refinement, not flash.

04

Accessible to everyone.

Easy to install, affordable to own, and sustainably produced, because the future of cooking only matters if it can reach every kitchen.

Full job descriptionHide description

What you'll do

  • Evaluate and repair kitchen appliances (induction ranges, cooktops, refrigeration units, and cookware) received at our warehouse, including returns, inspections, and refurbishments
  • Provide technical service and troubleshooting support to customers by phone, walking them through diagnosis and fixes for issues with their appliances
  • Read and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to identify root cause rather than just swapping parts
  • Order, track, and install replacement parts, and keep accurate records of parts used per case
  • Document every repair and phone case clearly in our case-management system: symptoms, diagnosis, steps taken, and resolution
  • Escalate unusual failures, safety concerns, or recurring issues to the Technical Support Manager so patterns can be flagged to engineering
  • Test and verify warehouse repairs before units are returned to stock or shipped, and follow up if an issue recurs
  • Keep warehouse workspace, tools, and test equipment organized, calibrated, and ready to go
  • Follow proper safety procedures when working with electrical components, induction technology, and refrigerant systems
  • Provide limited field support (occasional in-home or on-site visits) when a case can't be resolved by phone or in the warehouse
  • Continuously build deep technical knowledge of the full Induction Hardware product line as new models and features are released
  • Train and mentor incoming repair technicians and support staff on our products, diagnostic procedures, and repair standards

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on repair experience with kitchen appliances (induction ranges, cooktops, refrigeration, or similar)
  • Working understanding of how kitchen appliances are designed and built, and comfort diagnosing both electrical and mechanical failures
  • Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
  • Comfortable using hand tools, multimeters, and other standard diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Clear phone communicator who can walk a customer through a technical issue without talking over their head
  • Reliable and organized: you document your work and keep your cases and parts inventory straight
  • Able to work onsite at our Reno warehouse daily, with occasional local travel for the rare case that needs a field visit
  • Comfortable taking direction from and reporting into our Technical Support Manager and/or our Chief Product Officer, and working as part of a broader support team
  • Genuinely curious and willing to keep learning the technical details of our product line as it evolves
  • Comfortable training and mentoring new team members: patient, clear, and willing to show your work
  • Bonus: refrigeration/EPA 608 certification, or a trade school / technical certification in appliance repair or electronics

What we're offering

  • $45,000 to $65,000 a year, depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employee discount on premium appliances
  • Direct mentorship from our Technical Support Manager and exposure to how our products are engineered
  • A hands-on seat with real variety: warehouse repairs and customer phone support, with the occasional field visit to keep things interesting
  • Room to grow as our service and support functions scale
  • A team that takes the work seriously, and has fun doing it
